Melany James, BPE, RYT

Owner of Soul Strength Yoga & Fitness, Yoga Instructor, Personal Fitness Trainer

The owner of Soul Strength Yoga & Fitness Inc. has been involved with fitness and a variety of sports throughout her life and is excited to share her passion for physical activity with others. Since completing her Physical Education Degree at the University of Alberta in 2003, she has been personal training and teaching a variety of group fitness classes. Her yoga journey truly began in 2002 and she has maintained a regular personal practice ever since. Inspired by how yoga challenged her body and her mind in every way it was weak, and amazed by what the human body can do with the simplicity of a mat, she has since had the opportunity to learn from many of the great yoga teachers including Hart Lazer, Mark Darby, Eddie Modestini and Nicki Doane, David Swenson, Nancy Gilgoff, Tim Miller, and Sadie Nardini. With her background in physical education, sports, and martial arts, along with her experience and love for working with people, teaching yoga was a natural progression. Her clients and class participants are a continued source of inspiration and she thanks them for sharing their energy with her, and for challenging her to further her knowledge and skills so she can better support them on their own personal journeys to improved health, harmony, and happiness.

Jennifer Terris

Yoga Teacher

Jen is a certified Hatha, Yin, and Pilates teacher. She has studied Hatha with Yandara in Mexico, Yin with Bernie Clark, and Pilates with the Pilates Physicalmind Institute Canada. Over the years her passion for yoga has grown from being recreational to a significant foundation in her life. As she welcomed the blessings, lessons, and balance that yoga has to offer, her life began to flourish and evolve into a blossoming passion for yoga. She believes that yoga is one of the healthiest and most beneficial activities for your mind – and the physical part is just a bonus! Jen feels that every practice is like a new experience, and she is passionate about sharing this life-changing experience and gift with you.
