Class Overview

Vinyasa Flow is a dynamic and flexible style of yoga that links breath with movement through a flowing sequence of poses, often starting with sun salutations.

Classes vary from session to session, building heat, strength, and flexibility while promoting focus and a meditative state.

The experience is described as a "wave" that starts slow, builds to a more intense middle, and then gently comes back down to a final relaxation.

  • Is this the right class for me?

✔ Instead of holding one pose for a long time, you move from one pose to the next, coordinating each movement with an inhale or exhale.

✔ The practice is rooted in linking your breath with your movement, which helps to create a moving meditation and a deeper mind-body connection.

✔ The sequence of poses can change from class to class, offering a dynamic and creative experience that prevents boredom and repetitive motion injuries.

✔ The continuous movement builds internal heat, strength, flexibility, and cardiovascular health.

  • Can I try a class before committing?

Absolutely. I offer a single-session intro pass so you can get a feel for the class, the vibe, and the coaching. No experience needed — just show up, and I’ll guide you through the rest.

  • Can I join midway through the session?

Yes! Simply contact me, and I'll send you a unique promo code that offers a prorated discount based on the number of classes remaining in the session.

  • Who this class is for

    ✔ Anyone needing stress relief

    ✔ Students building routine

    ✔ Students wanting progression

02

Warm-up

03

Sun Salutations

Sun Salutations (Surya Namaskar) are a foundational element in Vinyasa classes. These sequences energize the body and build heat.

04

Peak Poses

We'll select one or two peak poses that align with our theme and provide opportunities for exploration.

05

Cool Down

After reaching the peak poses, I'll guide students into a cool-down phase, gradually transitioning into restorative postures.

06

Savasana

Savasana is an essential part of any Vinyasa practice — Participants will focus on their breath while letting go of any remaining tension in their bodies.

YOUR INSTRUCTOR

Melany James

I love to teach and to share my love of yoga and meditation.

The emphasis in my classes is on teaching students to be aware of their breath and its connection to their foundation, movement, and core. Making a connection between the mind, movement and breath will not only change your practice on the mat, but it can also change your life in so many positive ways!

In my classes, experienced practitioners will find a challenging and supportive environment, while newcomers will discover a space where modifications and alternatives are always offered.

I invite everyone to join me from “wherever they are” to experience the transformative power of yoga and meditation.
